![]() ![]() The spell only has a verbal component, so that is not the problem, but something about them being able to use this spell to escape when they are completely surrounded, without an opportunity attack, or one of us being able to use a reaction to follow them through the door, is bothering me. Something about this doesn't sit right for me. They might have had one diagonal spot open - i can't remember - but basically every neighboring square was occupied. We were on a square grid map: there were four of us surrounding the BBEG, their desk behind them, and one of their minions, diagonally adjacent to them. Things started going south for BBEG (yay us!), so they cast Dimensional Door and escaped something about this maneuver doesn't sound right to me. We had surprised the BBEG, and had them surrounded. It probably was, but something about this doesn't feel right to me.
